Continuing directly after season 5, Vic and the Strike Team are distraught over Lem's death. Shane has been overcome by guilt and becomes reckless and suicidal. Kavanaugh refuses to let the case die and resorts to planting evidence and coercing witnesses to lie about the Strike Team. Dutch and Claudette begin to suspect his integrity. Vic learns from Claudette that the Chief plans to force him into early retirement — and vows to wreak bloody vengeance on Lem's killer before losing his badge. Claudette learns that the Barn could be shut down if no improvements are made by the time quarterly crime statistics are released.

Summary: Sony Home Entertainment dropped the ball on this one (Not FX).
Comment: I was excited before watching this DVD because it is the first DVD release of The Shield series released in the U.S in wide-screen format. I am not sure whether this transer is real-wide screen or simply 4:3 ratio cropped, and don't want to speculate about it. But I simply found the transfer not as good as the previous five seasons released by Fox. The transfers contain a significantly more amount of grain than the Fox releases which were consistently very high in quality. As a side gripe, the optional subtitles for the hearing impaired now have thicker fonts (and are yellow as opposed to white in previous seasons) and take up more screen space--a minor annoyance.
So I hope Sony will do a better job for the Season 7 release.

Comment: i ordered this dvd nov 28 got it a month later i was fine with that then i get it and its opened i ordered it brand new from amazon and the case was busted the dvd not even in the case what a joke then they charge 11$ to ship it to canada and it cost them 1$ what a rip off never dealing with amazing again i can go to bestbuy futures hop walmart get the same stuff way cheaper

Summary: Shield Season 6
Comment: This is the best Cop show on TV - bar none. From Season 1 through Season 6 the plot gets thicker and thicker, never disappoints and always leaves you wanting more. Michael Chiklis and the cast are superb without any weak spots.
